Start with the question the number answers.
A website visit tells you someone reached the page. An inquiry tells you someone expressed interest. A confirmed booking tells you the business gained a commitment. They are different steps, and combining them hides what’s actually happening.
Keep the stages separate.
- Visits: attention reaching your website.
- Contact clicks: intent to take a next step, not proof of a sent message.
- Qualified inquiries: relevant interest with a clear next step.
- Confirmed conversions: business reported as booked or won.
- Revenue: value confirmed by the owner; distinguish booked value from money received.
Missing information is not zero.
A booking that hasn’t been confirmed is still open. A broken tracking link is a measurement gap. Neither should be reported as a confident result.
Look for a decision.
If people visit but don’t inquire, review the fit and the next step. If inquiries arrive but don’t convert, learn why before increasing volume. The value of reporting is knowing what to investigate next.
